Homicide ruled for man shot in car

WARREN — A man found dead in car inside the Trumbull Homes apartment complex died of multiple gunshot wounds, according the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office.

The death of Darrin Andrews, 35, who has addresses in Warren and in Youngstown, has been ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.

Police found Andrews dead inside a 2013 Kia Optima just after 1 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot at 2247 N. Feederle Drive.

He had been reported missing.

Man shot in arm while driving car

WARREN — Police are investigating a weekend shooting that sent a man to the hospital with a wound to his right arm.

Police were called just before 1 a.m. Saturday to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where they found a car with two windows shot out, blood in the parking lot, and William Harris, 23, in the emergency room with an arm wound, a police report states.

Harris told police while he was driving in the area of Jackson Street SW and York Avenue SW when a man in a black Jeep that was driving toward him got out of the vehicle and fired a gun, a report states.

Harris told police that he drove himself to the hospital, the report states.
