Youngstown man gets year on gun charges
WARREN — A Youngstown man on Thursday received a one-year prison sentence after being convicted of three separate gun felonies.
Ryan L. Howard, 29, Market Street, pleaded guilty to charges of carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and carrying a firearm as a convicted felon.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice said Howard was previously convicted of felony drug charges in Mahoning County in 2005 and 2010.
As part of the sentence, Howard also will have to forfeit a 9 mm Hi-Point handgun that was found by Warren police hidden in a vehicle during an April 14, 2017, traffic stop, prosecutors said.
