McDonald school improvements eyed

McDONALD — A number of possible school improvements were discussed during a Tuesday morning meeting of the McDonald Local School District Building and Grounds Committee.

The district is looking to make improvements to school camera and security systems that haven’t been updated since 2003, updating stage curtain rigging for the high school auditorium to a mechanical system and continuing to look at possible areas for construction of a new stadium and track, Superintendent Kevin O’Connell said.

The district will continue to work with outside consultants to develop a plan for all three projects, O’Connell said, and no action has been taken.
