McDonald police chief sworn in

MCDONALD — Village council this week officially swore in William Woodley as the new police chief, replacing Lou Ronghi, who had been with the police department for 22 years.

Woodley had been serving as interim chief as Ronghi officially retired this year.

Ryan Ronghi also was sworn in as the new police lieutenant, filling Woodley’s previous position.

Council set the organizational meeting for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 3.
