Woman arraigned on drug trafficking charge
WARREN — A Warren woman was arraigned Tuesday on an aggravated drug trafficking charge after police raided a Lener Avenue home Monday morning.
Members of the Warren Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Tactical Entry Team found about 25 grams of suspected drugs.
Tashi Johnson, 29, Red Fox Run Drive NW, pleaded not guilty to the fourth-degree felony, Warren Municipal Court records show. Judge Terry Ivanchak set Johnson’s bond at $5,000. The defendant,who is on probation from a 2013 heroin possession conviction, was still in custody as of Tuesday evening, according to Trumbull County Jail records.
Court records show that Johnson will again appear before Ivanchak on Monday.
According to the police report, officers about 6:30 a.m. Monday seized 15 grams of suspected heroin and about 9 grams of suspected crack cocaine from the home at 690 Lener Ave. SW. Also recovered by police during the search were a digital scale, drug packaging material and about $5,000 in cash, the report states.
A juvenile was found at the home during the raid along with Johnson, the report states.
