Liberty store robbed with gun
LIBERTY — A cellular phone store was robbed at gunpoint just before 7 p.m. Friday, according to a police report. A report from the Trumbull County 911 Center states an employee of Boost Mobile, 3900 Belmont Ave., called police at 6:46 p.m. and said a black man of medium height and with a medium build wearing a mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and a gray bandanna used a large handgun to demand cash and two Samsung Galaxy phones. There were three customers in the store at the time, but no one was injured, the report states. The robber fled on foot towards the Days Inn hotel about a block away, where he got into a silver vehicle, according to the report. Liberty police put out an alert to Girard, Youngstown and Niles police, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol, to be on the lookout for the vehicle. He was still at large Friday night, according to a supervisor at the 911 Center.
