Eagle Creek flood warning issued

BRACEVILLE ­­– The National Weather Service in Cleveland issued a flood warning for the Eagle Creek at Phalanx Station with forecasts for minor flooding overnight Sunday and into this morning.

Reports indicated the water stage was at 9.3 feet, nearing flood stage of 9.5 feet, late Sunday.

The water was expected to rise above flood stage overnight, reaching near 9.6 feet. However, the river is expected to fall below flood stage by today.

Barclay Messerly Road south of the Warren Airport in Braceville was to be flooded. Knowlton Road will also be threatened, the weather service predicted.
