Warren convenience store robbed

WARREN — A Parkman Road convenience store was robbed late Tuesday by a man wearing something white covering his face, a Cleveland Browns hoodie, black pants and black dress shoes, according to a police report.

Police are looking at security video from Lit’l Macs, 1763 Parkman Road NW, to help identify the robber. The man walked into the store around 10:40 p.m. and demanded the cashier place money from the register into a gray plastic bag, according to the report.

The suspect turned to the nearly half dozen people in the store stating, “Don’t try me,” the report states. One witness told investigators that he saw what he believes was the outline of a gun, but the man never pulled out a weapon. The cashier described the suspect as an older man in his 30s or 40s.

BRISTOL — Many northern Trumbull County residents preparing for Thanksgiving were without power Wednesday evening.

Ohio Edison reported power went out around 6:30 p.m. to more than 4,400 homes mostly in Bristol, Johnston and Kinsman townships. Power was expected to be restored late Wednesday as crews were called out to make repairs.

The reason for the outage is not known, but it’s believed to be caused by equipment issues at a nothern Trumbull substation, according to reports. Bristol had the most customers without power at more than 1,000.
