WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday

The board:
l Announced the Trumbull County Educational Service Center’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) program will be housed for 21 days September to January at Lordstown High School’s Innovation Center. Students from around the county will attend the program during the first semester of the school year.
l Approved Mindy Moyers as Lordstown Jump Start teacher at $22 per hour for three hours a day for 11 days over the summer. The program helps prepare elementary children for the upcoming school year;
l Approved open enrollment for students outside the district. The deadline to enroll is Tuesday:
l Employed Dannett Ferguson as head cook and Lisa Paisley as assistant cook under continuing contracts;
l Accepted the resignation of Lindsay Marsh as assistant varsity volleyball coach. Erica Knox was named to the position;
l Named Hiller as the delegate to the school board capital conference Nov. 12-14 in Columbus;
l Announced a school open house Aug. 21 in preparation for the start of the new school year Aug. 23.
