Man gets 2 years; assaulted officers
WARREN — A Liberty man was sentenced Thursday to two years in prison on charges linked to the assault of two Liberty police officers.
Jeffrey Chinchic, 50, 965 Adrian Circle, pleaded guilty to an amended indictment of felonious assault. Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald J. Rice gave him the prison term after Chinchic waived his right to have a background check done prior to sentencing.
Chinchic was arrested May 7 after he punched an officer and slammed another into a wall during a domestic violence call at his Liberty home, authorities said.
Warren man gets 3 years in robbery
WARREN — A Warren man was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison on charges connected to a McDonald robbery in March.
Marquis Dandre Lamont Gary, 18, 984 Glenwood St. NE, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald Rice.
Court officials said Gary’s sentence was concurrent with another sentence from a Trumbull County felony conviction linked to a Weathersfield home invasion last March. Four people were robbed of money and cellphones in that incident.
