Warren raid nets drugs, two arrests
WARREN — The Warren Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Tactical Entry team executed a drug raid Wednesday morning at 543 Lener Ave. SW that resulted in two arrests.
Police confiscated 35 grams of heroin, 10 grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of oxycodone, according to Warren police Chief Eric Merkel.
Investigators also recovered a pistol that was reported stolen, a pistol- grip shotgun, an AR pistol and an assault rifle, according to Merkel. The officers also found two digital scales, packaging material and a hydraulic press that is utilized to re-rock the drugs. Approximately $245 also was seized, according to a police report.
The raid was a result of a five-month investigation, Merkel said.
Aaron Davis, 30, 1048 Woodview Ave. SW, was arrested and taken to Trumbull County Jail on charges of trafficking heroin, trafficking crack cocaine and having weapons under disability. He is due in Warren Municipal Court Nov. 11.
Robert McKinney, 29, 2345 Wick St. SE, was arrested on a warrant out of Warren Municipal Court on charges of drug possession and a new charge of having weapons under disability. No court information was available for McKinney.
