JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT TO HOST RECOGNITION BREAKFAST: Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley will host a recognition breakfast for volunteers, donors and supporters 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business. Guest speakers include Kaci Carpenter, a freshman at the College of Wooster and Canfield High School graduate, and Holly Carpenter, owner of Kasmer Insurance Agency in coordination with Grange Insurance. They will each speak on their personal experiences and involvements in the JA Company Program. Honorees include General Motors, United Auto Workers Locals 1714 and 1112 , bowl-a-thon partner; Kristine Rotunno, Modern Diagnostics Solutions, whole school partner; Talmer Bank and Trust, JA volunteer organization; Sherry Creighton, educator, Canfield High School; John Marino, formerly with Kent State University Trumbull, past JA board member; Gregg Warner, JA volunteer; Holly Carpenter, JA company program volunteer; and Kaci Carpenter, JA company program student, Canfield High School graduate.

REAL LIVING VOLPINI GROUP RECOGNIZES AGENTS: Real Living Volpini Group’s Howland office recognized Ohio Association of Realtors (O.A.R.) 2016 President’s Sales Club Recipients. Award of Distinction for $2.5 million in sales went to Kimberly Griffin and Patty Helmick. Darlene Mink Crouse received the Award of Achievement for $1 million in sales.

VICKERS NAMED PETER ALLEN INN & EVENT CENTER CHEF: Peter Allen Inn & Event Center, Kinsman, named Cynthia Vickers food and beverage manager and house chef, overseeing all food at the facility. Vickers, a native of Johnson, trained at the Eagle’s Nest Club at The Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna, where she was lead cook at the multi-use facility more than five years, becoming kitchen manager and catering representative. She joined Warren-based AVI Foodsystems as a sous chef in 2011.

HOME SAVINGS AND LOAN NAMES BUSHWAY MARKETING DIRECTOR: The Home Savings and Loan Company named Kathy Bushway marketing director. She will lead a team of marketing professionals in brand and marketing strategy, product management, media relations, public relations and communications. Bushway has more than 30 years of marketing experience, most recently as senior vice president, marketing and communications director at FirstMerit Bank. Previously, she served as director of marketing for a list compiler and direct marketing company and has marketing background across various industries including 20 years in banking. She earned a master’s degree in business administration at Malone University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism at Kent State University. A native of Sebring, Bushway lives in North Canton with her husband, Craig.

HOWLAND ALARM ADDS CELL DEVICE: Howland Alarm, a commercial and residential alarm company, has added Cellular Module, which allows alarm signals via cell towers. The device, manufactured by Honeywell, takes the place of land lines linking to the company’s monitoring service.
