Man charged in exposure case

WARREN — A Warren man was arraigned Tuesday on a public indecency charge after police reported a man was exposing himself Monday morning to motorists driving past City Hall on Mahoning Avenue NW.

Matthew D. Knepper, 25, 4769 Parkman Road NW, pleaded not guilty to the charge before Municipal Judge Thomas Gysegem, who set the defendant free on  a $1,500 personal recognizance bond, court records show.

About 11:50 a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to the area near City Hall after a female driver reported the indecent exposure. Police found a man near the intersection of Mahoning and South Perkins Drive staring at city workers who were standing across the street.

The man admitted to police he had exposed himself to passing cars, the report states.

Clean audit award given

WARREN — A recent clean audit of the Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corp.  earned the agency an award from the state auditor’s office.

The Auditor of State Award was given because the Land Reutilization Corp., or Land Bank, audit was filed on time and did not contain any findings for recovery or material citations, deficiencies or weaknesses.

County Treasurer Sam Lamancusa, president of the Land Bank board, was pleased with the honor.

“I am very proud of our Trumbull County Land Reutlilization Corporation. It is an honor to be acknowledged by Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office,” Lamancusa said.
