Police raid home for drugs

WARREN – A a city man was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of aggravated trafficking in drugs following a raid at his home on Tuesday. Oronde Allen, 39, of 450 Summit St. N.W., remained at the Trumbull County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Allen is due in Warren Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing Sept. 2.

He was arrested on the felony charge after Warren police said they confiscated more than $200,000 worth of cocaine and more than $20,000 in cash from his home on Tuesday, police reports state.

Members of the Warren Street Crimes Unit and Tactical Entry Team entered Allen’s home just before 7:30 a.m. and seized four pounds of cocaine and crack cocaine, the report states. They also seized three handguns – one of which police said was reported stolen in 2012 – a bulletproof vest, digital scales and ammunition.

The search warrant police executed on Tuesday concluded a two-month investigation conducted by the Street Crimes Unit, according to a police department news release.
