Niles man wanted in thefts

NILES – An arrest warrant has been issued for a man police suspect of being involved in several thefts in the city in recent weeks.

Brandon M. Haun, 19, Niles, is facing felony charges of receiving stolen property and forgery, along with a misdemeanor charge of credit card misuse. The charges were filed Monday in Niles Municipal Court; the warrant was issued Tuesday.

Haun’s address is listed in court and police records as 21 Lafayette Ave. However, he may have moved, according to police.

He is suspected of several thefts from cars that have occurred in the past few weeks.

In one case, police said a man reported having his wallet taken from his car while it was parked for a funeral at Rossi Funeral Home on Robbins Avenue.

Authorities identified Haun after releasing surveillance images of a man using a stolen credit card at local businesses.
