Gun held to Warren woman’s head

WARREN – A 23-year-old Warren woman was rushed, tackled, put into a headlock and had a pistol put to her head by a man she found burglarizing her home, according to a police report.

The woman told police she was returning home to 954 George Place S.W. from her son’s soccer practice Wednesday evening when she noticed a blue BMW in her drive. A man ducked out and back in a side door of the home, the police report states.

The woman went to the door. The intruder tackled her, put her in the wrestling hold and pointed the gun at her head until her boyfriend ran to help, the report states.

The two men fought, and then the man with the gun ran toward the car and drove off with another man, the report states.

Police later saw one of the men on Oriole Place S.W., but he was able to escape.

Also, police surrounded a home on Tod Avenue that was thought to contain one of the men, but it did not.

The vehicle was found abandoned on Oriole Place S.W.
