Threatening letter sent to county courthouse

WARREN – The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction are investigating who sent a letter containing a possible bomb threat to the Trumbull County Clerk of Court.

The clerk’s office received the letter in the mail Friday from Allen Quintanilla, whose address was listed in Lucasville, according to a sheriff’s office police report. Quintanilla, 23, according to the DRC website, is in the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville on aggravated arson offenses from Lucas County and retaliation offenses in Warren County.

It’s being speculated that the letter was intended for Warren County, not the clerk’s office inside the Trumbull County Courthouse in Warren.

Sheriff’s Office deputies found nothing suspicious in a search of the courthouse, according to the report. Quintanilla is serving a 19-year sentence.
