Inventor facts

The four fourth-grade classrooms at McGuffey K-8 School in Warren held an Invention Fair on Tuesday, during which students demonstrated their own creations. This is the 16th year for the class activities.

More than 90 students created an invention.

The activity uses scientific methods used by the famous inventors of Ohio.

Students were given two weeks to work on the invention both at home and at school.

Inventions varied from an avalanche detector, jackpack to wear on the back of a jacket, and a spoknife, a combination knife and spoon.
