Harding to add 9 to Hall of Fame

WARREN – Nine Warren alumni will be added to the Warren High Schools’ Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on Saturday.

The inductees, announced by the board of directors, will join more than 200 other members.

They are:

James W. Bane, Harding 1961, music educator; Capt. Arthur “Chaps” Brown, Western Reserve 1973, Chaplin Corps, Navy; Robert A. Fiorino, Western Reserve 1971, Covelli Enterprises vice president / CFO; James R. Garstick, Harding 1945, Columbiana Historical Society trustee; Todd Thomas Herron, Western Reserve 1981, Mortuary Associates and Herron Funeral Home; Sean Jones, Harding 1996, Cleveland and Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestras artistic director; Scott M. Pappada, Harding 2001, The Ohio State University adjunct professor in Anesthesiology; Dr. M. Bridget Wagner, Harding 1981, Olympic gymnast; and John A. Yurtin, Harding 1965, expert in automotive electrical and electronics.

Two people will be honored as Distinguished Faculty who have influenced or inspired the Hall-of-Famers.

This year’s faculty choices include Elaine Smith, English teacher for Harding, and Phil Annarella, social studies teacher and coach for Harding and Western Reserve.
