Boardman police hunt robber

BOARDMAN – Police were continuing to search Saturday for a man who robbed a CVS store late Friday of thousands of dollars worth of painkillers.

A white man in his late 20s or early 30s held up the Market Street pharmacy about 11:30 p.m. Friday, police said. Employees told officers he showed them a “large, silver handgun.” No shots were fired.

Police said the robber ran from the store with thousands of dollars worth of oxyxcodone.

Police said they will examine the store’s surveillance footage.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boardman police Detective Sgt. Glen Riddle at 330-726-4144.
