Fire likely destroys Howland home
HOWLAND — Fire crews continued to put out hot spots at 2542 Aspinwall Ave. after a fire ravaged the small home this morning. The home’s occupants were safely evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters about 11 a.m.
Howland Fire Chief James Pantalone said the home, owned by William Kemp, is “most likely” a total loss, but he had yet to inspect the home’s interior. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Crews responded from Cortland, Champion, Howland, Bazetta, and the Youngstown Air Base.
