Elections board makes polling place changes

WARREN – Some voters in Warren, Howland and Johnston will vote in new locations in the May 6 primary election.

Affected voters will be sent a postcard notice 30 days before the election notifying them of their new polling place. The changes approved by the Trumbull County Board of Elections are:

l Warren 2G – Voters in this precinct will now vote in the dining room of the First United Methodist Church, 309 N. Park Ave. The previous location, the American Legion on North Park Avenue, is not able to host the election.

l Howland E – The new location is the Mahoning Valley Hope Center, formerly the First Baptist Church, 3217 Surrey Road S.E. The old location was North Road Elementary School.

l Howland H – At Howland Community Church, 198 Niles Cortland Road. The old location was Mines Elementary School.

l Howland K – Shepherd of the Valley Retirement Center, 4100 N. River Road. The former location was Howland Glenn Primary School.

l Howland R, U and W – Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Road. The previous location for Howland R was Howland Glenn school and in precincts U and W, Mines school.

Precincts at the schools in Howland are being relocated by request of the district due to security concerns.

l Johnston A – The new location is the township fire station, 4424 Greenville Road. The former location was the township hall. The change is being made due to the township hall being cold on Election Day.
