Warren police capture two men in house
WARREN – Police arrived within minutes at a burglary in progress Tuesday morning, eventually arresting two intruders, including one who jumped from a side window on the second floor of a home.
Being held in Trumbull County Jail on charges of burglary were Justin D. Duncan, 25, of 4794 Countyline Turnpike Road, Southington, and Matthew Allen Heller, 25, 1013 Redwood Lane, Streetsboro.
They were expected to appear today in Warren Municipal Court via video arraignment.
A neighbor who declined to give his name said, ”I saw this SUV pull in. One guy was beating on the door and the other guy walked down the driveway with a bag. They kicked the rear door in. That’s when I called it in.”
He said after he called police, at least six cruisers, most of them marked cars, arrived at 1017 Homewood Ave. S.E. shortly after 11 a.m.
Once the officers arrived and surrounded the home owned by Ryan Windle, the witness said the police shouted commands at the two intruders, causing them to run upstairs.
”The guys broke out a couple windows along with the back door where they got in. The guy who jumped out the window didn’t get very far. Police went in and got the second guy,” the witness said.
