Tattoo artist accused of fraud

WARREN – A 37-year-old Niles woman who operated her own tattoo parlor in Girard was scheduled to be arraigned this morning on a 12-count indictment that accuses her of defrauding the state of cash, food assistance and medical benefits while profiting from her own business.

Holly Kahn-Webber, 2050 Niles Cortland Road, Niles, and 38 S. State St., Girard, was charged Wednesday by a Trumbull County grand jury with 11 counts of tampering with records and one count of grand theft.

The indictment for theft alleges more than $99,000 worth of benefits were given to Kahn-Webber between April of 2007 and May of 2013.

The multiple counts of tampering with records reflects documents the woman signed off on twice a year that stated she had no income.

During the period, Kahn-Webber operated Hollywood Ink, a tattoo parlor in Girard.
