Dozens apply for top planner
WARREN – Thirty-two people have applied to become the next executive director of Trumbull County’s Planning Commission, including one person from as far away as South America.
Among the dozens of applicants are the commission’s interim executive director, Trish Nuskievicz, who’s been assistant director since 2008; her old boss, former director Alan Knapp, who retired from Trumbull County in 2009, but has been working as director for the Crawford County, Pa., planning commission; and Louis Ogaard, a California native living in Bolivia.
No real timetable has been set for hiring a new executive director. Salary for the person replacing former executive director Bill Miller, who retired in September, will be determined. Miller earned $79,000 a year.
l Timothy Michael Boland of Lewis Center. Boland has been the administrator of the City of Pataskala since 2007.
l David M. Gulden of Fairview Park. Gulden is a member of the Fairview Park Board of Zoning Appeals who most recently worked as a city planner in Lorain.
l Rebecca Ann Corrigan of Cleveland. Corrigan is the executive director of the Berea Community Development Corporation.
l Peter Kay of Perrysburg. Kay worked as director of the Department of Economic and Development and Planning in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
l Nuskievicz of Cortland. Nuskievicz has worked for the Trumbull County Planning Commission for 17 years, the last four as assistant director.
l Andrew Bistarkey of Niles. Bistarkey worked as recruiting manager for Blue Sky Therapy in Canfield.
l Gerald Albani of Warren. Albani has been secretary / treasurer, loan officer and board member for the Trumbull County Postal Employees Credit Union. He previously worked as a postmaster.
l Knapp of Mogadore. After leaving Trumbull County in 2009, Knapp began working as planning director for the Community Action Agency in Columbiana and then took the job as planning director in Crawford County, Pa.
l Michael A. Kirkwood of Warren. Kirkwood works as product manager for Jarden Zinc Products in Greenville, Tenn.
l Carl D. Gordon of Tallmadge. Gordon is the director of technology and strategy of Sterling Jewelers Inc. in Akron.
l Karen J. Massari of Vienna. Massari is is the bookkeeper for Warren G. Harding High School.
l Jeffrey M. Pritchard of Akron. Pritchard is a part-time economic development specialist for Kent.
l Paul Lynn of Southington. Lynn is the human resources / clinical officer for Fossil Ledges Animal Education Center in Southington.
l Ronald Shadd of Youngstown. Shadd worked for the Mahoning and Columbiana Training Association as northeast Ohio HealthForce coordinator.
l Michael A. Marsco of Girard. Marsco is the director of facilities, environmental services, patient transport and laundry at Forum Health / Community Health System in Warren.
l Tom Rebraca of McDonald. Rebraca worked a program manager for GE Healthcare in Aurora.
l Brian W. Hammond of Troy. Hammond is the president of EMALD Corporation, a family-owned company that operates an Irish pub in Troy.
l Rich Perrine of Youngstown. Perrine works as territory manager for Ecolab.
l Sierra M. Thomas of Austintown. Thomas is the accounting clerk at Donald P. Pipino LTD. in Boardman.
l Jayhue Murdock Jr. of Massillon. Murdock worked for the Stark County Out of Poverty Partnership in Canton.
l Joan M. Hamm of Elyria. Hamm recently worked as executive director of the Linden School.
l Michele Schaper of Youngstown. Schaper works as research associate/homeless management information system database administrator for Youngstown State University.
l David Hogue of Hubbard. Hogue worked as controller at Gateways to Better Living Inc. in Youngstown.
l Lee Daugherty. Daugherty worked as senior international consultant for Leo Hospitality in Columbus.
l Timothy Kelly of Sewickley, Pa. Kelly works as a geographic map analyst for CBC Innovis in Pittsburgh.
l Earl W. Smith of Georgetown, Ky. Smith is the director of a city and county joint planning commission in Lexington, Ky.
l Glenn Joseph Orzehoskie of Slidell, La. Orzehoskie is a sales associate with Instant Replay Sports.
l Cynthia Caleris of Ellwood City, Pa. Caleris is the managing director of OSG Doors in west Pittsburgh, Pa.
l James Colecchi of Glassport, Pa. Colecchi is the community development manager of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission.
l Ogaard of Bolivia. Ogaard is the director of environmental science for surface and abandoned mine land reclamation and alternative energy for Louis Adolph and Asociados.
