Bond set for man accused in shooting
WARREN – A 20-year-old man accused of wounding another man in a June 8 shooting remained at the Trumbull County Jail on Thursday in lieu of $275,000 bond.
Cameron P. Cole, 20, 742 Laird Ave. S.E., entered no plea Thursday at his arraignment in Warren Municipal Court. He is charged with one count of second-degree felonious assault. He is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing Aug. 8
Cole was arrested by U.S. Marshals early Wednesday afternoon at his home. He is accused of shooting Sa’Taunt L. Warfield, 23, of 1175 Front St. S.W., at 421 School St. S.W.
Police reported that when they responded to the area of School Street for a disturbance call, everyone involved in the incident had already left, including Warfield.
However, a witness told police her friend had been shot.
Later, police were notified that Warfield had shown up at Trumbull Memorial Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the right arm.
According to court records, Cole was charged with felonious assault last year. That case went to the grand jury, but he was not indicted.
