Woman accused of stabbing brother

WARREN – A city woman accused of stabbing her brother during an argument late Monday remained at the Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Kristina C. Burgess, 26, of 792 Glenwood N.E., is charged with felonious assault.

She made an initial appearance Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court and is scheduled to appear there for a preliminary hearing July 18.

Burgess is accused of stabbing Patrick White Jr., 25, of 1151 Woodbine S.E., in the chest. An update on his condition was not available Tuesday evening.

Police said they were called to Trumbull Memorial Hospital in reference to a stabbing around 11:40 p.m. Monday. White told them Burgess had stabbed him while the two of them were involved in an argument at Burgess’ home, according to a Warren police report.

The report stated that White was having difficulty breathing and talking to police as hospital staff worked to stop the wound from bleeding.

White also told police a neighbor drove him to the hospital.

Police said Burgess was not home when they went to her residence, but they located her later on Palmyra Road.
