Youngstown man shot in the arm
YOUNGSTOWN – A city man told police he was shot Tuesday afternoon while driving along Pasadena Avenue.
Ceaonnie Jones, 31, of East Ravenwood Avenue, suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm, police said. He was listed in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Jones told police he was driving along Pasadena Avenue near the Homestead Avenue intersection around 12:45 p.m. when another vehicle approached his from the opposite direction and pulled close. Someone inside opened fire near the 700 block of Pasadena Avenue. Jones told police that six or seven shots were fired.
Police said they had received calls about 15 minutes before the time Jones said he was shot in reference to shots being fired in the area near the 600 and 700 blocks of Pasadena Avenue.
Police said both front door windows were shot out from Jones’ vehicle and there was blood on the center console and the driver’s door pad. They also recovered from the emergency room the bullet that hit Jones.
They were unable to determine the exact location where the shooting took place, the report stated.
