Mon. 11:39 a.m.: Ed Muransky revealed as buyer of last Cruze

The mystery of who bought the last Chevrolet Cruze built at the General Motors Corp. Lordstown Complex has been revealed.

Businessman Ed Muransky announced at the Lake Club in Poland this morning that he and his family bought the last Cruze, which rolled off the assembly line on March 6.

Muransky said the car will be auctioned online and the proceeds will benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

Muransky, 59, a Youngstown native and former professional football player, is owner of the Muransky Companies in the Youngstown area, and was founder and CEO of the Chestnut Land Co., the holding company for Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzel franchises.
