Mon. 1:28 p.m.: UPDATE: Lockdown status lifted on YSU campus
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University no longer is on lockdown status, according to a text message students received around 1:15 p.m.
According to the message, the suspect, reported to have a gun, is in custody after having turned himself into authorities.
Classes will resume at 3 p.m. today for students, it was announced.
The campus was placed on lockdown a little before 11:10 a.m.
According to a YSU police dispatcher, two men were arguing inside Kilcawley Center at 11:10 a.m., and one man pulled a gun on the other. No shots were fired.
There have been no injuries reported.
