Thurs. 9:55 p.m.: Power outage hits downtown Warren business district

WARREN – Ohio Edison says a blown transformer is to blame for a power outage that has affected the city’s downtown area including the Warren Police Department and Tribune Chronicle offices on South Street.

More than 1,100 customers are affected, according to the Ohio Edison web site.

The power went out shortly past 8:30 p.m. tonight.
