Mon. 3:20 p.m.: UPDATE – No autopsy expected in Hamad death
COLUMBUS – No autopsy is expected in the death of convicted murderer Nasser Hamad, 49, who died Sunday in the Ohio Corrections Medical Center in Columbus, according to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
Hamad died at 9:29 p.m. Sunday, a coroner’s office spokesman said a short time ago. A spokesman there said no autopsy is expected because Hamad was under the care of a physician.
Hamad, who was diagnosed with cancer, had been seeking early release from prison, but his request was denied by Trumbull Common Pleas Judge Ron Rice in March.
Hamad was serving a life sentence for killing two people outside his Howland home and injuring three others in 2017.
