Mon. 2:50 p.m.: Reports indicate Nasser Hamad died in prison

COLUMBUS – Nasser Hamad, the Howland man serving a life sentence for the 2017 killing of two people at his home in Howland, has died in prison, sources are reporting.

Tiffany Haber, sister of victim Joshua Haber, 19, posted the news on social media a short time ago.

Chris Becker, Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor, said the news was confirmed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction today. A message seeking confirmation with the department has not yet been returned.
