Thurs. 7:30 p.m.: Quinby Park hosting Arts Across America celebration
WARREN – An Arts Across America celebration on Monday will give Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership an opportunity to showcase efforts already underway to improve Quinby Park.
Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma is doing culture in action events in conjunction with each concert on his current solo tour performing Johannes Sebastian Bachás Cello Suites. His efforts will include a free concert Monday at Warren Community Amphitheatre following his appearance Sunday at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls.
Partnering with Ma is Arts Across America, a campaign by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., that celebrates communities committed to using the arts to promote connection, a strong creative economy and increased cultural citizenship; and the Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization based in D.C.
Their efforts will include a morning event from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the park on the city’s southwest side. It will include live performances, hands-on art projects and other activities.
