Wed. 12:50 p.m.: Port Authority renews contract for executive director

WARREN – The Western Reserve Port Authority’s Board of Directors this morning agreed to extend by two years the employment contract of Executive Director John Moliterno.

While Moliterno’s salary will remain the same at approximately $100,000 annually, the board will increase its share of the contribution to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System to 7 percent.

“I enjoy working to bringing economic development to the area,” Moliterno said. “I’ve tried to restore the credibility and respect for the Port Authority.”

Martin Loney, a member of the port’s board of directors, said he was pleased with what Moliterno had done.

“You’ve done a very good job,” said Loney. “Thank you for your efforts.”
