Mon. 9:55 p.m.: One escaped inmate recaptured; other remains at large

One of two inmates who escaped from minimum-security lockup in Warren was caught tonight in Portage County and a few minutes ago was booked into Portage County Jail.

Joshua Keenan, 25, of Garrettsville, was booked into the jail at 9:28 p.m. on a charge of escape, according to a Portage County Jail spokesman. He was to be transferred to Trumbull County Jail late Monday.

Details on how and when he was caught are not yet available.

Tyler Bianca, 23, of Shelby, remains at large tonight.

The two men jumped a fence Sunday afternoon at the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program in southeast Warren.

Keenan, labeled a Tier 1 sexual offender from a 2012 sexual imposition conviction in Portage County, was sent to NEOCAP in February after he was convicted of receiving stolen property.

Bianca was in NEOCAP after pleading guilty to a possession of drugs charge in July 2017 in Portage County. His bond was later revoked and he was assigned to NEOCAP last month.
