Tues. 11:30 a.m.: Warren to host traveling, enlarged Vietnam Wall
WARREN – A traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is coming to Warren this summer for a five-day display on the South Lawn of Packard Music Hall, it was announced this morning.
“The Wall that Heals” will be on display around the clock and free of charge Aug. 15 to 19. It honors more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and bears the name of more than 58,000 men and women who did not return following the service to their country.
This new, enlarged version of the traveling wall includes a 3/4 scale replica and stretches 375 feet in length.
Warren was selected as one of 38 sites from among more than 100 applications. It is being presented by the Warren Heritage Center with Trumbull County Veterans Services in conjunction with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
