Tues. 4 p.m.: Paris Hilton tweets plans to wed Howland native
Howland native Chris Zylka is engaged to heiress Paris Hilton.
Hilton posted a photo on Twitter today of Zylka proposing with the message, “I said Yas! So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life.”
Zylka, whose name was Chris Settlemire growing up, played quarterback for Howland High School, where he graduated in 2003. He changed his name to Zylka, the surname of his maternal grandparents, when he started to pursue an acting career.
The 32-year-old actor has been a regular on such television series as HBO’s “The Leftovers” and ABC Family’s “10 Things I Hate About You,” and he’s appeared in such films as “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Kaboom” and “Shark Night 3D.”
