Wed. 11 a.m.: Three runaways remain missing from Trumbull Children Services home

WARREN – Five of eight children have returned to the Trumbull County Children Services Resident Treatment Center after running away Monday evening, the agency’s director reported.

The children, ages 12 to 17, left the unlocked 32-bed facility that provides temporary custody to 26 area abused and neglected foster children with “mild to moderate behavior challenges,” Tim Schaffner, CSB director said.

The facility staff of about 50 is working with police according to state procedures to get all the children home, the director said.
