Frank Pierce, 38, faces a felony charge of robbery in Youngstown Municipal Court, court records show.

Pierce turned himself into police at about 7:30 a.m. after a friend told Pierce his photo was in the media after the robbery, according to a press release. Pierce confessed to the robbery, the release states.

The release states some of the stolen money was recovered. However, it does not state how much was taken, except the amount was “minimal.” The robber passed a note to the teller stating he had a gun, but did not show a weapon.
