Tue. 9:04 p.m.: Brookfield zoning plan builds a lead in election results

BROOKFIELD — With seven precincts reporting, a proposed zoning plan for Brookfield Township is passing, 58.6 percent to 41.4 percent.

With one precinct reporting, an additional 2.5-mill levy for roads in Farmington Township is failing 77.4 percent to 22.6 percent. In Gustavus, a 2-mill renewal for roads is passing 70.4 percent to 29.6 percent with one precinct reporting, but an additional 2-mill levy for roads in Newton Falls is failing, 57.6 percent to 42.4 percent.

Fire levies are passing in Johnston, Bazetta, Bloomfield, Mecca, Mesopotamia and Warren Township.
