Tue. 11 a.m.: Two Warren residents among 4 indicted in mail heroin conspiracy

Accused of mailing heroin from Calif. to Warren

WARREN – Two Warren residents are among four people indicted in connection to what authorities said was a conspiracy to mail heroin from California to the Warren area.

Named in the seven-count indictment are Derrick Eggleston, 31, and Rachael Sherman, 38, both of Warren, and Alexander Zamudio, 43, and Zoany Zamudio, 38, both of Victorville, Calif. All four are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute heroin, according to David A. Sierleja, acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

The group is accused of conspiring to possess, with the intent to distribute, more than 100 grams of heroin, from September through November 2015.
