Wed. 9 pm: No arrests in Niles homicide
NILES – Two weeks after a woman was killed during a Hiram Street home invasion, police are still investigating “every possible angle” but are not revealing much about what they have found.
Arlene Frasca, 74, died Oct. 6 in her home. Although Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk ruled her death a homicide, he said he is not revealing her cause of death because he does not want to hinder the investigation.
Acting police Chief Capt. Jay Holland has said it appeared the Frasca home was targeted by the intruders.
Niles police Capt. John Marshall said the department cannot release details of the investigation, but said detectives are interviewing a lot of people, searching out new sources of information and trying to put something “more concrete together.”
