Tues. 8:30 pm: Warren teen gets five years in robbery

WARREN – A Warren teen was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison in connection to a robbery in Weathersfield in May.

Mar’Quis Gary, 18, 984 Glenwood St. NE, pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery and one count of aggravated burglary before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew D. Logan.

Gary’s attorney, Gary Rich, waived a pre-sentence investigation for his client, and Logan merged the four robbery sentences, making them concurrent to the five years for the aggravated burglary conviction, court officials said.

Gary’s guilty plea headed off an Oct. 11 jury trial scheduled for Logan’s courtroom.
