Tue.: 9:10 p.m.: Ryan holds huge lead
WARREN – U.S. Rep. Timothy J. Ryan, D-Howland, has an insurmountable lead over John Stephen Luchansky of Boardman in the race for the Democractic nomination for the 13th District congressional seat.
Ryan has 90 percent of the vote and Luchansky, 10 percent, according to incomplete, unofficial returns tonight from Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted’s Office.
Ryan in November will face Richard A. Morckel, a Republican who ran unopposed in the primary.
In the Democratic race for the 14th U.S. House District, which includes the northern portion of Trumbull County, attorney Michael Wager leads former judge Alfred Mackey, 67 percent to 33 percent.
In the Republican race in the 14th, incumbent U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce of Rusell is leading Matt Lynch, also by a 67 percent to 33 percent margin.
