Fri. 11:50 p.m.: Man indicted in connection to overdose death

WARREN – Although a grieving mother said she will never have closure, she said she is relieved and grateful the man accused in her daughter’s overdose death has been indicted.

Maurice L. Bryant, 27, 868 Shady Lane NE, Warren, was indicted Friday on charges of involuntary manslaughter, trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances, corrupting another with drugs, aggravated trafficking in drugs and trafficking in heroin.

Craig J. Liebal 27, 183 Genesee Ave. NE, Warren, was charged with trafficking in counterfeit controlled substance and trafficking in cocaine. Leibal is not charged with involuntary manslaughter, but investigators said he may have been present when the drugs were sold.

The men were arrested by Trumbull County Sheriff’s deputies and the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force. They are at the Trumbull County Jail on $500,000 bonds following their arraignment Friday morning before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay.
