Thu. 9:20 p.m.: Police: Young Warren vandals detained after wet concrete marred

COMING FRIDAY: WARREN – Mischievous children writing their names and leaving prints in wet concrete on West Market Street Wednesday caused $500 worth of damage, according to information Foust Construction Company provided to city police.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., members of the construction crew noticed the concrete in front of 330 W. Market St. was disturbed three times, a police report states.

Workers found the name “Tyrese” scraped into the wet mix, and re-laid the concrete twice, according to the report. The crew took photos of the vandalism each time it occurred.

Before the section could dry, the crew told police they saw a boy spelling “Tyrese” on the future sidewalk again. A girl was with him.

A police officer report that the girl “felt it wasn’t a big deal, what they had done, and that she didn’t have to speak to me.

“The mother was respectable and apologized for their attitudes and poor judgment,” the report states.
