Tue. 10:58 p.m.: Cavaliers advance to the NBA Finals

CLEVELAND The Cleveland Cavaliers just routed the Atlanta Hawks 118-88 to sweep the Eastern Conference Finals. They now advance to the NBA championship series against the winner of the Golden State Warriors-Houston Rockets series.

The Warriors hold a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals. Game 5 in that series is Wednesday.

LeBron James led six Cavs scoring in double figures with 23 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds; J.R. Smith scored 18 points and pulled in 10 rebounds; Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson each scored 16 points, and Thompson had 11 rebounds; Timofey Mozgov scored 14 points; and Matthew Dellavedova added 10 points.

Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 17 points and Paul Millsap scored 16; Kent Bazemore 12; and Shelvin Mack and John Jenkins each scored 10.
