Mon., 11:27am: Bristol man dies from crash injuries
MECCA — A Bristol man died Sunday from the injuries he suffered in a crash earlier in the day on State Route 88 west of Morrell Ray Road.
The Ohio State Patrol reported that Kenneth A. Hudnell, 43, was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota west on State Route 88 around 5 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway and drove off the left side striking a sign and utility pole. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Hudnell. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where he died. Troopers said he was not wearing his seat belt.
A passenger, Georgann Barrickman, 51, of Kinsman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers said she was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
