Wed., 2:21 pm: Man charged in Niles home invasion
NILES — A Warren man has been charged in connection with Tuesday night’s home invasion at a South Butler Avenue residence.
Drakkar Daniel Little, 20, of 710 Woodbine S.E., was arraigned today on aggravated robbery with a firearm and kidnapping charges in Niles Municipal Court. His bond was set at $250,000. He is being held at the Trumbull County Jail.
Police said they are looking for a second individual, but he has not yet been named. Niles police Capt. Ken Criswell said it’s possible more people were involved, but only two entered the home.
Criswell said he believes the motive was robbery and that police do not believe any of the occupants knew the intruders. However, it is possible one of the gunmen was familiar with the home because it was not chosen at random.
He said the occupants, Judith Kellar, 43, and Fred Holbrook, 66, were not hurt when the two men broke into the home just before 10:30 p.m. The gunmen tied the two and an insurance agent up with long shoelaces.
